Bread end pieces, and the likes...

Don't ever throw away those end pieces, and leftover pieces of french bread! (OR any bread, cracker, etc.) What you need to do, is have a ziploc bag ready for you to throw in all the stragglers and when you've accumulated enough.. Turn them into breadcrumbs! I use them for meatballs, meatloaves and any recipe that calls for this item.
Here's the process; With the accumulated pieces of bread, put them into a food processor, and pulsate until they are into tiny crumbs. (This doesn't take long at all) Then depending on what you prefer, you can put them out on a tray to air dry or just put them in the freezer as is. Then, incorporate the amount needed into each recipe while you are cooking! See you guys soon! - BCB

Fresh, slow cooked Apple Sauce.

Here's to yet another simple thing to try at home to avoid the High Fructose Corn Syrup main ingredient that composes a majority of the Apple Sauces you'll see in the grocery store (yuck)..

Homemade Applesauce! Over the Christmas break my Mom & I made Christmas Dinner together, and when we impressively finished early we cracked out a few ingredients to make fresh applesauce! Also over Christmas, with my Husband's family made tamales which was so much fun!

It's probably more simple than you can imagine.

All you need is a slow cooker; if you don't have one, use a pressure cooker.

Turn on the high heat setting. Add about 1/2 of water, 1 tbsp of Honey/Agave Sweetener & 1 tsp Cinnamon.

Grab pears, apples, any crunchy fruit you like! (Around 2 lbs)

Core them.
I use this:

Once they are all done being cored, throw them into the Slow Cooker with above ingredients. Everything will cook on high for about 3 - 4 hours, then stir around; if you like a hearty sauce, leave as is, but if you like it smooth, move ingredients to either a Bamix, or Blender.
